Open recipes
Some recipes in NomNom are adapted from Wikibooks cookbooks (the English Cookbook, the German Kochbuch, the French Livre de cuisine and the Swedish Kokboken), written by Wikibooks contributors. Our adapted text is free too: share and adapt it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license.
The same list as JSON: index.json.
Every file is served with CORS, so it can be fetched from any site. Once a recipe is in the
app's live catalog, its file also carries the released text and its translations under
live, read from the live catalog itself.
What a file contains
- Our adapted recipe: ingredients per serving, steps in English and Hungarian, time; for a recipe from a German, French or Swedish cookbook also our text in that language.
- The attribution: the Wikibooks page, the exact revision we adapted, its authors (Wikibooks contributors, see the page history) and the license.
- The changes we made: per-serving metric quantities, our ingredient list, steps rewritten with oven temperatures and cooking times, a Hungarian translation, and anything recipe-specific.
License
The adapted recipes are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License, the license of the Wikibooks originals. Photos and the rest of the app are not part of this offer.
Price data we derive from Open Prices is offered separately under the ODbL: open data.
